Akhirnya Ballon d’or Jatuh ke Tangan Messi
Sejenak mengalihkan perhatian ke dunia sepakbola yang mempunyai kabar terbaru. Meskipun hingar bingar ngobrol seputar bisnis online juga masih ramai. Tapi bukan berarti meninggalkan kebiasaan topik yang ada. Sekedar mereview sedikit, mengenai keberhasilan anak muda yang satu ini dalam menggapai cita-cita dan impiannya. Dimana dalam menggapai semua itu membutuhkan kerja keras, meskipun bukan kerja keras adalah energi kita. Tapi kita patut memberikan sebuah aplaus buat sang bintang yang baru mendapatkan ballon d’or.
Keberhasilan Messi sekaligus merupakan sejarah baru bagi Argentina dan sekaligus memperpanjang bintang Barcelona dalam merebut penghargaan yang digagas oleh majalah France Football itu. Messi merupakan orang Argentina pertama dan bintang keenam Barcelona yang merebut Ballon d’Or. Terakhir kali Ronaldinho merebut gelar serupa pada tahun 2005 silam.
Terpilihnya pemain berusia 22 tahun itu memang tidak mengejutkan. Pasalnya, sepanjang musim lalu, ia mampu membawa Barca merebut tiga gelar sekaligus yakni juara La Liga, Copa del Rey dan Liga Champion.
Dalam pengumuman Ballon d’Or yang diadakan di Paris, Selasa (30/11), Messi unggul mutlak atas pesaing. Ia mencetak rekor margin terbesar atas peringkat kedua yang diduduki pemain terbaik tahun lalu, Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi menumpulkan 473 poin dari total keseluruhan 480 poin. La Pulga unggul 240 poin dari Ronaldo yang mengumpulkan 233 poin diikuti Xavi Hernandez ditempat ketiga dengan 170 poin.
“Jujur, saya memang merasa dijagokan untuk merebut gelar ini karena Barcelona melewati musim lalu dengan prestasi luar biasa,” aku Messi di France Football. “Tapi saya tidak menyangka bisa menang dengan margin sebesar ini. Bola emas sangat berharga bagiku karena setiap pemain yang telah meraih ini merupakan pemain hebat,” tambahnya.
Dominasi Barca semakin tampak dengan masuknya Andres Iniesta dan eks bintang, Samuel Eto’o dalam daftar lima besar.
Musim lalu Messi tampil gemilang bersama tim Catalan itu. Ia mencetak 38 gol dalam 51 pertandingan di semua kompetisi.
